Through the years, Historic Ketchikan has expanded its programs and initiatives to grow and evolve with the changing world of preservation. We are involved in preserving key historic properties, creating a 1.3 mile waterfront boardwalk, and educating our visitors and our citizens in the value of our history through interpretive signage and publications such as Our Town and Spirit. Our vision for Ketchikan is to be sustainable community with an authentic sense of place created by our important historic structures and sites. The rehabilitation and reuse of our historic buildings is both economically attractive and environmentally responsible, it is important to citizens and visitors to our town as well as for future generations. We continue to strengthen the organization and advance our work with the support of individuals like you. The most impact will occur when we all work together to save historic resources in our community.
